Castle Win With Bare 11
Due to having absolutely no one on the bench and half the team carrying knocks there wasn’t too much expectation with today’s game so Castle couldn’t have been more relaxed coming into this game which showed. While Tywyn where knocking the ball about doing a proper warm up, we were playing head, shoulders, knees and toes.
Having no subs meant assistant manager Jimmy Ellis was appointed to do the line on the wrong side of the pitch. The second the first half kicked off the first thing said by manger Greg Wainwright was “enjoy it boys”. I think it’s fair to say the Castle players thought it would be a long day.
The first goal of the game was a castle goal coming from a lovely finish from Sammy Jones, the finish was good but all the talk was about the assist by Wainwright, a no look pass so naughty we thought we were bound to be sanctioned………again.
A few minutes after that Tony Mills is played a ball that he tries to let run past him but instead ends up being completely chopped down by the Tywyn left back resulting in Tony being injured for the rest of the game. Stiffler then makes a huge mistake and gets himself in an argument with 0010 the secret agent also known as “Al”.
Into the second half and tywyn get one back from a goalkeeping error from Joe Mckay who couldn’t hold on to the ball. Minutes after Castle then get a corner which is cleared only to Dylan Powell from 20 yards out who smashes straight into the top right corner, absolute scenes.
As the game goes on Tywyn start to get frustrated not being able to get past the Castle defence so 0010 uncharacteristically starts to lose his head and lashes out on Sammy Jones.
Into the 83rd minute and Flynn Morris is put through on goal and slots it past Tywyn’s keeper, you would think to seal the game. Minutes after in the 87th minute Tywyn nick one back, but shortly after the final whistle blows.
